Patients may need a single treatment to reach their goal while others may need a few treatments spaced 3 – 4 weeks apart at Modern Aesthetics.
What to Expect After KYBELLA
KYBELLA doesn't need general anesthesia, so you are allowed to leave our office as soon as you are ready to return to your normal routine. You may notice temporary bruising, swelling, or numbness below your chin; however, this shouldn't last more than a few days. Call Modern Aesthetics right away if you are noticing any unusual symptoms, like difficulty swallowing, facial muscle weakness, or if your facial expressions are uneven. While the fat cells that are destroyed do not regenerate, the remaining cells can grow larger, so you need to maintain a stable weight after your KYBELLA treatments to keep new pockets of fat from forming. How much does KYBELLA cost?
KYBELLA treatment costs will vary based on how many appointments you need. In your initial consultation, a customized KYBELLA treatment plan will be made to fit your goals. A team member will also talk about payment options with you during your first appointment.
Am I eligible for a KYBELLA treatment?
Before your consultation, you will answer a few questions to make sure you are a candidate for KYBELLA treatments. You must be over the age of 18 years old, not breastfeeding or pregnant, and cannot have any infection at the treatment site. Before the procedure is performed, you are encouraged to be open about any health concerns and your medical history so that they can determine if you may be at risk for an adverse reaction from the treatment.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
At your consultation, a customized KYBELLA treatment plan will be tailored to meet your needs and goals. Most often, patients receive between 2 – 4 KYBELLA injections to achieve their goals. KYBELLA treatments must also be made about 30 days apart. You should not receive any more than six treatments.
Is KYBELLA painful?
No. Thanks to our modern equipment and experienced staff, the vast majority of our patients do not report feeling any pain or discomfort during their session.
How does KYBELLA work?
The active ingredient in KYBELLA, deoxycholic acid, is designed to break down and destroy fat cells in the body. After they are eliminated, these fat cells will not grow back. Therefore, additional treatments shouldn't be needed once you have met your goal.
Can KYBELLA be used to treat other areas of the body?
