For those of you, like me, who are terrified of botched work or have seen others with work done that looks kinda funny- save your time, money, and anxiety, and just go to Dr. Anwar. I have to give him zero instruction when I see him because he has an eye for truly the most beautiful and natural work. I went in originally for a PRP as an under eye filler but after being assessed by Dr. Anwar, he suggested filler(s) for structural reasons. "I’ve been going to Dr. Anwar for the past year, and can honestly say the experience I feel at this office is by far the best every time I go. Everyone is amazing, compassionate, caring, and very knowledgeable. I currently am getting the PRP eye injections to help with my eyes, and every time I get the injections I feel like “liquid gold” has been injected around my eyes. This process takes a series of injections, and not one and done, but can say over time, with a total of 5 series that I got each after every month, I have noticed my eye area become firmer, less dark, fine lines diminish, and younger! If your considering any dermatology treatment, I would recommend this office. You would leave feeling the best with the well rounded care that is provided here at the office."

"I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again- Dr Anwar is hands down the best injector I’ve ever worked with. And I’ve been to many across California. Anyways most recently I went to him for mid plane barbed thread lifts (2X) and while the fist round was a huge improvement, I still had this marionette shadow that I disliked so much. So I went in for a second round and we figured out that the shadow was due to a chin implant I had in 2003. I was 21. Now I’m 41, getting older and my skin is starting to become more lax, so the chin implant was causing the lax skin to hang around either side. I mean nobody noticed it but me. Aging is hard for me. Anyways, about a week ago Dr Anwar did another round of threads on my marionette lines and used ultrasound to find the borders of my chin implant, the applied filler to even the plane. And I’m so impressed! The shadow I once hated is gone. AND it ended up lifting the corners of my mouth so I don’t look like I have resting bitch face anymore. Highly recommend!! PS I’ve been going to see Dr Anwar a few times a year at least since 2018 and I’ve ALWAYS been pleased with my outcomes!!"

The office manager/receptionist (agghh! I wish her knew her name!) is so friendly (and BEAUTIFUL) Recently I had a facial with Erika….OH MY, BEST FACIAL EVER (I have owned a day spa myself, so I have had my fair share!) Before my facial I was offered a complementary skin analysis (SUPER informative!) her treatment room is super comfortable and her high-end treatments left my skin feeling extremely hydrated and GLOWY! (The massage was my favorite part!!!) not to mention she is so friendly and extremely knowledgeable and professional. "I went to Dr. Anwar yesterday for Botox and was very very happy! I’ve always had wrinkles on my forehead (I’m 43) and have had Botox for them many times. None of the med spas, plastic surgeons or dermatologists that I’ve been to have noticed or told me that the skin on my forehead was too thin! Dr. Anwar noticed it right away!! He told me, due to my thin skin I have more lines and rippling! So now he has me on a path of skin care to build up my skin and possibly do laser if the skin care doesn’t give me the results I want/need. I’ve been to med spas and wasn’t happy because they have a sort of “herding cattle” type operation. I feel like their business module is quantity not quality at the med spas! I loved the time Dr. Anwar took with me (and my friend, we went together). He explained things very well and was very driven to get our face to look our best over time, not just inject everywhere and send us on our way! He has my business from here on out!! "I love Dr. Anwar, I think he is a man of great integrity and always has his patients best interest at heart. The first time I visited was after an awful experience at another local aesthetics office, my lips were so overfilled at the time and I was in a panic to find somewhere to get them dissolved. I met with Dr. Anwar and he assured me that even though they were over filled in some spots, they were still swollen and it was too soon to dissolve them. He said they would eventually go down once the swelling does and if at that time I still didn’t like them, he would dissolve them. He even took the time to massage out the massive lumps of filler I had to make sure they would be even. I really appreciated him saying/doing this because I’m sure many offices would have no problem charging someone to dissolve filler. And Im very sure many Dr’s would not even dedicate their valuable time to massage out lips that they didn’t even do. Fast forward to today, I totally took advantage of their mothers day deal they having going on right now and showed up to their very elegant and clean office to get my botox done and some filler (or so I thought) . I met with Dr. Anwar and told him my concerns in regard to my wrinkles, which he corrected with botox and I also told him about the darkness under my eyes, which I thought would be corrected with filler. However, he educated me by taking photos of the various angles of my face and taking the time to zoom in and point out that my darkness is not due to hollowness under my eyes but rather discoloration and filler would not give me the results I am looking for. Which again, I very much appreciate and continues to support my idea that he always has the best interest of his patients in mind. I also asked him about preventative skin care services that he offered and he took the time to educate me on which ones would benefit me as well. He is such an amazing doctor and I fully trust/ recommend him. "If anyone is looking for a sign to get their lips injected by Dr. Anwar, this is it! I had been pondering on the idea of getting my lips injected for years now, but was always a little skeptical and worried about my lips coming out botched so I held off, as I’ve had issues with other cosmetic clinics before . I then came across Dr. Anwar on Instagram and was hooked after viewing his content and was particularly interested in the Russian lips, his floss technique and the keyhole pout. I reached out through their website and their receptionist gave me a call back. She was very sweet and helpful and booked me a consultation with Dr. Anwar so that we could meet and so that I had an opportunity to discuss the procedure and get all my questions answered. After the consultation, I went ahead and booked my appointment for a few weeks out, (although they did offer to do it the same day). When I came in, the day of, I was greeted by the staff and taken into a room to take before pictures & apply numbing cream. After some time, I was taken into another room where Dr. Anwar came in, made me feel SO comfortable, gave me a stress ball to squeeze, and before beginning the procedure, he checked in to see how numb I was & was very patient and tentative & applied more. As the procedure went on, Dr. Anwar was talking to me throughout the injections, to keep me relaxed and cheered me on. After the procedure was over, he got me all cleaned up, applied a lip balm/gloss, gave me an ice pack to take home & explained after-care directions. I asked and boy did he DELIVER! "This was my first time seeing the doctor. He was professional, personable and extremely knowledgeable. I went for under eye filler. He asked what my expectations were and what I was looking for in regard to results. The fat pocket under my eye was slipping as a result of my age. He explained his process as well as a more invasive process including surgery that he could refer out. I asked some follow up questions. He was extremely honest on forthcoming as the what I expect my results to be. He told me that for my particular situation, I would be looking at anywhere from a 30-50% improvement with fillers. He even went as far as suggesting that I research the surgery and possibly sit on it before deciding if I wanted to move forward with the fillers. That was huge for me, he is not in it for the money. He could of told me what I wanted to hear, charged me and sent me on my way. Instead he was patient, I was not rushed and did not make me feel like I had to decide on the fillers. That speaks volumes about a person and their character. He could of told me I needed 19 products, 3 syringes and I would have believed him. We all get caught up wanting magic and he was very straight with the facts and results. He also went on to tell me that there are so many other contributing factors that contribute to the aging process. Sleep, hydration, stress. He was interested in educating me, not just fixing the problem I presented. I decided to move forward with the fillers. He totally undersold the positive impact. I had it done this morning and I keep going my the mirror and I no longer can see that line under my eyes. I am so very pleased with the results. There is a entire wall of products in his office. He never even mentioned purchasing anything or what he suggested for maintence. I know you all know what I’m talking about. You get that new service and they sell you an additional $100.00 of product as you walk out the door. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you want a educationed, HONEST, well-versed professional who will not sell you something that is not attainable, this is the place to go. It was such a breath of fresh air, especially with the social climate these days. There are people in this world that are passionate about what they do and helping people. "I can go on and on about Dr. Anwar and how wonderful my experience was as a client of his... I made the best decision by switching to him as my primary injectables and skincare MD. My story starting out injectables for the first time is, well, sort of a horror story-- I naively went to a DDS without doing my research before hand. While I was lucky that he didn't screw my face up, I was being taken advantage of at that time-- for instance, my previous injectable professional would tell me to "bring cash for a discount" and be given ultimatums for higher prices if credit was used... and getting treatments of 30 units of dysport for nearly 15/unit... which is ridiculous... "I haven’t posted a review in a while, however, I had to in this case. A few days ago I visited Dr. Anwar for the first time to get Botox. I have never had Botox or any other sort of injections before. I am 31 and I was starting to notice lines forming on my forehead, in between my brows, crows feet, etc., so it was time to get something done. A good friend of mine referred me to Dr. Anwar and I made an appointment. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze - all done via text. I showed up for my appointment on a Monday at 3:30 and he was right on time. He brought me back to his office (very nice, clean, spacious - not sure where some other reviewers went?), and started talking to me about what I wanted out of the procedure, what look I was going for, etc. He was thorough in his explanation of the procedure, the expected results, and upkeep. I never once felt like I couldn’t ask him questions - he even answered questions that my sister wanted me to ask him about her lips (lol). He began the Botox and was smooth, quick, and efficient. On a scale of 1-10 the pain was literally a 1/1.5. The procedure was a breeze. I am now 3 days post-Botox and I am thrilled with the result. "I got lip injections previously at a practice in southern California a few months ago but have been actively searching for a practice within the Sacramento area as that is more convenient for me. I searched for months with no luck as I just wasn’t impressed with the results that doctors in Sacramento and was beginning to give up but by chance I found Modern Aesthetics. I’m so glad I did! Once I stalked their Instagram page and saw how beautiful the results of the patients’ looked, I knew it was the place for me! Dr. Anwar is great and very friendly. I got one syringe of juvederm in the lips and he also put a bit into my chin to balance out my facial features and the results look beautiful! "I was going to wait until after my follow up appointment to review, because I plan on getting more juvederm at that time. But I was so impressed, that I decided to review now, I got 1 syringe of juvederm in my lips about a week, ago. I've had fillers several times, done by other doctors. Dr. Anwar used a different technique than the doctors I've been to in the past, and I must say, Dr. Anwar's technique is far superior. I had absolutely no bruising. Not a mark. I've literally walked away from previous injections looking like I got kicked in the face and this time was nothing like that. In addition to a complete lack of bruising, I had hardly any swelling. The little bit of swelling I did experience subsided within 24 hours. Now, at about a week post-injection, I have a subtle plump to my lips, Dr. Anwar actually managed to even out some natural asymmetry I had. Something that I really liked about him was the fact that he didn't at all product push. He wasn't all about getting more money out of me. I say that because I went in there saying I might want to get 2 syringes in my lips. He injected one and then respectfully declined the second one, explaining that doing 2 in one visit could potentially cause lumpiness in my case. I've struggled with lumps in the past, so I really wanted to avoid this happening again! He said he'd like for me to come back in 2 weeks for a follow up and we could add more at that time, with better results. So, I really appreciate that he gave his honest opinion of what would be the best course of action, rather than just jumping at the opportunity to use more product, potentially trading better results for more money in a single appointment. I really feel like there aren't a lot of doctors out there these days like that. I fully trust Dr. Anwar now, I'm glad I found him, & I'll definitely be seeing him again next week!"
"It’s been over a year since I visited and i feel that my results lasted months over what was expected. Now I’m ready to go back in. During my visit at no point did I feel pressured to do more than what was needed. Dr. Anwar didnt point out my flaws in an offensive manner, he was respectful and careful with the words he chose to relay his suggestions. That’s important because or else I think he would’ve made me feel like it was all about sales sales sales, and performing procedures that i didn’t really need just for the money. If anything, i think he was very affordable . If you follow him on Instagram he is constantly offering big discounts/ specials. I happened to mention i had a baby and my skin had changed so much postpartum with an increase in acne of which i was very self-conscious of. Instead of offering another procedure he handed me a full sized acne treatment Kit and asked me to try it out FREE. When i handed him a tip he would not accept it. "I have been going to Dr. Anwar for the last 2 years. I have gone to other medical spa's for botox and filler but have realized that I get the best results when I am treated by him. He is obviously passionate about what he does for his clients. He has an extreme amount of knowledge on facial muscles and anatomy. Every time I come in he is up to date on the latest esthetic treatments. He is conscious of comfort and pain during treatment. I was very anxious about the discomfort of receiving filler but his technique gave me minimal discomfort. For my experience, he is one of the top providers for botox and filler. Also I appreciate that he is conservative on the amount of products he uses. I didn't feel like he intentionally tried to put a lot of product in my face rather he used what he felt was necessary for the results I wanted. Importantly he listens and does his best to make my vision a reality. I have referred close family and friend to him. They all have been very pleased and will sometimes drive all the way from the Bay Area to be treated by him. The last time I was treated by Dr. Anwar he injected filler under my eyes. It did not hurt at all, no swelling and 2 months later I still see a dramatic difference. He also has a wealth of knowledge on hormone therapy."
"Hands down, the only place that I would recommend for anyone that wants to leave looking like a more beautiful version of themselves. I went in initially for fuller lips, however Dr. Anwar spoke with me about a few other options that would help improve my overall look. Dr. Anwar spoke with me about some other options that would really fill in the hollows under my eyes and my smile lines. I ended up doing less filler in my lips (they came out perfect and extremely natural and hydrated!) and using the extra filler under my eyes and smile lines. I could not believe the difference!! "Dr. Anwar is an accomplished doctor who is phenomenal at enhancing ones natural beauty with a plethora of fun and exciting options. He keeps you looking like you, however, the better version of you. Dr. Anwar is exceptionally friendly, courteous and is uncomplicated to converse with. He makes you feel at ease and calm by the wealth of knowledge he provides. He doesn’t "push" products on you and is honest and professional about what he recommends. His Office Manager, Keri, is warm, extremely friendly and so sweet. I adore them both! Also, Dr. Anwar uses a cannula technique VS a needle (which can cut through vessels and cause bruising and swelling). With Dr Anwar’s cannula technique, I’ve had ZERO bruising in my lips or around my lips after lip fillers. I’ve had other experiences at other establishments where I’ve left with a fat lip, uneven and bruised. However, that hasn’t happened once with Dr Anwar, which I am very happy about. His techniques and gentle hands make for an experience that you’ll walk away from completely satisfied. I highly recommend him. "I’ve been to a few dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons offices for acne scarring (at least 5) and every one of them tried to sell me laser treatment without listening to me. Dr Amwar looked at my skin and came up with a conservative plan to treat the scarring without lasers. He also does the fillers himself (I’ve gotten assistants who didn’t know what they were doing at previous places) and he did my lip injections without bruising and did my cheek fillers conservatively even when I thought I could use more in specific places he explained to me why it wouldn’t be a good idea for my face shape. Other places probably would’ve just injected more but it seems he’s not worried about the money, he really wants his patients to look their best and natural as possible while making them happy. I trust him now so I have no need to look anywhere else! I’m excited to see what we can do together for my skin! :)"
